Why Notion is the Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
I am fully aware that calling something the best thing since sliced bread may seem a little hyperbolic. However, I am in no way exaggerating when I tell you that using Notion might just change your life. Now this might seem a little psychotic but I’m the type of person who likes to track everything I do just so I don't forget. Not because I have a bad memory, but because I like the accomplished feeling I get when I can visually see a list of every book I have ever read or every movie I’ve ever liked. That's why the notes app has always been the most important app on my phone, aside from all forms of social media which I, as a teenager, could absolutely not live without. Ask anyone my age, and they will tell you that the best form of social media is Pinterest, which is a statement I completely agree with. It's a completely no pressure platform where an endless stream of photos and ideas completely tailored to your interests are placed right in front of you. Up until this point I had never found an app or a website that could top either of these two classics, however Notion is the exact combination of these two things putting it immediately at the top of my list. It's completely customizable and can be filled with as many aesthetically pleasing or interesting photos and videos as you want, while also offering an insane amount of templates for charts, graphs, etc that can help keep you organized. All my life I have loved making lists, charts, etc to keep myself organized, and the fact that it all gets to be combined with music and photos that I like is so amazing to me. This is why I firmly believe that Notion is one of the best inventions of the 21st century, it takes away all the stress and difficulty of creating schedules and organizing your life, and replaces it with the opportunity to create an organized, calming, aesthetically pleasing place that is all your own.
